TAVOOS

The young mare Tavoos, or “peacock”, is dame to one mare, one colt, and a philly, the eldest named Afsaneh and born in the summer of 2016. Afsaneh is a natural born leader, following the footsteps of the prestigious Tavoos. You cannot find a more beautiful pair of creatures on in the mountains of Persia than this mother and daughter.

Tavoos takes the herd of Amir Amanollah Khan Dareshuri, son of the great Ziyad Khan Dareshuri to graze in their pastures at home, where they feel comfortable in the mountainous areas and foothills of the Zagros. Watching this jewel when she gathers her herd is an unforgettable experience.

With her dagger-like ears, wide chest, open nostrils, and flawless curves, you can only freeze in awe-inspiring aspiration when she wanders by, hoping for another split second of her gracious presence. She roams the Zagros mountain foothills like a beast, yet glides through the blue skies like a swan.
